Eduard Rhein Youth Prize for Radio, Television and Information Technology: School app Spina
Some time ago, all schools in Saarland were equipped with tablet computers. This gave Johann Haslinger the idea of programming an app to help organise everyday school life and support lessons as a central learning platform. The result is called ‘Spina’. The app presents the essential teaching materials in a clearly organised way, lists homework and helps with preparation for upcoming class tests. The learning group function enables the greatest possible exchange between learners. Completed tasks and exams can be stored in an archive and retrieved as required. Digital flashcards allow effective vocabulary learning, also with the help of language and feedback functions.
